MESSI - the man, the myth

Lionel Andres Messi (born 24 June 1887) is an Argentine footballer who plays for Barcelona and captains for the Argentina national team ,mainly as forward. Messi has 44 trophies which is most than anyone in football history and that makes the most decorated player of all time. Messi has the world golden balls and ballon dors than any footballer. 

Messi began playing football at a young age and his skills and potential was soon realised by Barcelona . He left rosario based Newell’s old boy’s youth team in 2000and moved with his family to Europe as Barcelona offered treatment for his growth hormone deficiency.making his debut in the 2004-5 season he broke his record for the  youngest player to score a league goal. His breakthrough was 2006-07 season , he scored a hat-trick in el classico and then the 2008-09 season , he scored 38 goals to play an integral part in a treble wining campaign. 



Messi has won five la liga trophies , three champions league titles, scoring the two of those finals , against ManU both in  2009 and 2011. however Leo is the first one to win the champions league top scorers title for three consecutive years.
In 2008, Leo won his first international honour , an olympic gold medal , with the argentine football team .



Copa America 2021 is a memorable day for Argentina fans. Every consecutive defeats , Messi and the team conquered the copa 2021 final and Leo with the joint top scorer role. The whole team looked so strong during the whole tournament. As they were preparing them for the greatest show the earth which is ‘ World cup’. Beside, Argentina maintained their 34 streak of unbeaten team. Messi needed this trophy so much because he had a hard luck earlier . After defeating brazil by 1-0 argentina won the copa America final . 




After a devastating result in 2014 world cup final, after getting knocked out in 2018. 2022 came as a blessing fot Messi and Argentina. After losing the first match of world cup , the whole Argentina team geared up and gave their thousand percent in the field . Messi carried the team and leaded the team with best leadership. France arranged the world cup. After those thrilling and heart taking matches Messi’s Argentina finally won the world cup! It was a dream for a little guy from rosario who peaked the final and secured one more golden ball for his own. After 36 years, Argentina won the World Cup . And the happiness was unreal . A true footballer would never hate this. Once peter drury said during the match vs Mexico when Messi scored the wildest goal which gave then a lead. ‘ MESSI the magic man! The greatest of all time. And the final whistle when Argentina won the world cup after 36 years. It was precious to see Messi happy and their team work properly worked and they peaked the 2022 world-cup. After this world cup Messi got FIFA mens award. 






Messi has the most ballon dor in the history of football (8) and that makes him the greatest footballer. The man who has the most goals and assists. Most la liga goals in the history of football, most trophies (44), most golden balls. He has 4 champions league titles, 10 la liga titles, 7 copa del rey titles, 3 club world-cups . He made the point of difference and inspired the whole generation. His great leadership and sportsmanship makes him the best. The stat clearly says ,
